7 juli 2023 – The aid organization ‘Brandweer zonder Grenzen is currently busy gathering equipment, vehicles, and people for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Safety Region Brabant-Zuidoost is donating, among other things, a number of mobile large-scale water transport systems from Hytrans that can be deployed for major fires and floods. We, as the manufacturer of these systems, have made them fully operational again for this initiative. Brandweer zonder Grenzen has just picked up the systems from us in Lemmer.

Erwin te Bokkel of Brandweer zonder Grenzen said: “In a few weeks, we will leave with a convoy heading for a hub in Poland. From there, the equipment will be transported further to Ukraine. It is expected that they will deploy the equipment in the area where the dam previously broke, but we cannot be entirely sure. The situation in the war zone can change from day to day. Local firefighting colleagues will determine on site where the need is greatest. They are very pleased with the donation because the demand for reliable equipment is high, given its intensive use and the significant wear and tear it endures.”
